Pre-care

  • Keep brows completely dry for 24-48 hours. This includes swimming, saunas, and working out. Any excess moisture in this period can cause slight curling or frizz to the brow hairs.

Avoid washing your brow area or getting them wet

Do not apply makeup or further eyebrow treatments for at least 24 hours after your appointment.

Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat.

Do not apply Retin-A, AHA, or exfoliate around the brow area for 72 hours on either side of the treatment.

No self-tanning products should be used on the face for one week prior and up to 48 hours after treatment.

NOTE: If any stinging or swelling occurs, apply a cold compress to soothe and seek medical advice.

    BROW LAMINATION SPECIFIC:

Use a brow oil daily to keep the brows nourished & hydrated.

  • DO NOT get your brows excessively wet for the first 2 weeks - when showering, have the water hit only the back of your head. No swimming. No baths. No sauna. No hot yoga/intense working out that increases sweating.

DO NOT apply makeup to your brow area for 2 weeks.

DO NOT wax your brow area for 2 weeks.

AVOID direct sun exposure for 4 weeks (wear a hat to shade brows!) Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyperpigmentation and scarring.

DO NOT pick at scabbing or shedding skin on your brow area.

NO facials, chemical treatments, and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

    Day 1:

Brows will be sore, may bleed or scab, and may have excess lymph fluid (clear-yellow liquid). Dab the brow dry throughout the day with clean facial tissues.

Wash your brow area before bed with a natural fragrance-free gel cleanser (such as baby soap or Cetaphil) and soap.

DO NOT wash brows with any kind of abrasive cloth, sponge, or brush. Gently emulsify cleanser and water between clean fingertips, and gently rub on the brow area. Completely rinse with water and pat dry with facial tissue.

Apply ointment with Q-tip; total amount of ointment should equal the size of one pea for BOTH brows.

Sleep on clean pillowcases each night while healing.

    Day 2-7:

Gently wash brows the same way described above 1-2 times per day. We recommend a wash in the morning and a wash after working out or before bed.

Allow eyebrows to completely air dry before applying ointment.

When dry, apply a small amount of ointment with Q-tip. The amount of ointment should equal the size of one pea for BOTH brows.

Brows will begin to scab, flake, and shed. Allow this to happen! Do not pick at any scabbing or flakes.

    Day 8-14:

Continue to keep brows clean and moisturized.

Flaking and shedding will be more noticeable during this time. You may notice once the scabs are shed, the skin underneath has less pigment or may appear red or pink. This is normal and expected! The color will resurface and typically needs 4-6 weeks to fully heal.

    Week 6-8:

If needed, this is the ideal time to come in for a touch-up!
